301VHN was the first in a batch of six identical 61-seater Roe bodied Damiler CCG5DD buses 1 - 6 (301VHN-306VHN), delivered new to Darlington CT in early 1964. These were followed by another six similar Daimler CCG5DD buses in December 1964, numbered 7 to 12 (AHN451B - AHN456B). They would be the last Double Decker buses to be purchased by Darlington until the de-regulation of the British stage carriage industry in 1986.

60045 Lemberg at Darlington shed 26th January 1964.

Built at LNER Doncaster, Works No 1600 as Class A1 No 2544 and new in July 1924 she was rebuilt as a Class A3 in December 1927. Renumbered 60045 in June 1948, withdrawn on 23rd November 1964 and scrapped by Drapers at Hull in March 1965.
